Bio: For the Luxury Experience No Matter Your Price Point using my Passion and Innovation! *SALES ASSOCIATE OF THE YEAR 2010, 2011, 2012, & 2013, *2014, *2015 The avg. sales price to list price in Santa Cruz County is 98%. I average 4% more than that for my sellers! The real estate industry is often seen as a machine of sales people facilitating the sales of homes. However, it is more than just buying and selling houses for me, it is ALL about the people behind the sale. We are all individuals with special needs and preferences. It is my goal to help my clients successfully reach their financial and emotional goals in each sale with low levels of stress and high levels of positivity. Contrary to what many sales people would tell you, there is no one size fits all formula for every buyer and seller . Each one of is unique and special and it is in these uniqueness where I put my focus to make my clients successful. I believe in the 51/49 rule. Studies have shown that the most successful people in their careers are 51% emotional/passionate and 49% is technical/critical thinking. This is the winning formula I have adopted that has led me to be a top agent by understanding what my clients need and how to get it for them. Studies have also shown that men and women buy/sell differently. As women we need to feel supported and secure in the decisions we make. As men, they need to accomplish a goal. Although I believe we each have a balance of both it is important for me to know what your emotional and financial goals are and the method in which you will feel the most comfortable in reaching these goals. As a realtor, I am passionate about both the technical and emotional side of real estate. I pre-pave the road for my clients so they are aware of what options they have and the results of each choice. Therefor my clients feel empowered, confident, and in control in an industry where one can often feel at the mercy of everyone else. I love marketing which technically requires photographers, software programs, editing, and communication. The emotional side involves creativity, enthusiasm, commitment, and the ability to tell ones story. Whether my client is buying or selling I have to have the skills to present their story, needs, and wants in a way that will allow my clients to move forward in a positive and productive way towards their goals. I believe we live in a time where we are all stressed. Most of us did not come out the recession without any wounds. Whether we barely hung on, worked really hard, or watched others lose what they had, we all felt it and now we are more cautious with our money and more aware of what makes us happy. I think we can all agree that we definitely need less stress. My goal is to keep your stress levels as low as possible during any transaction and have you come out with a positive and fun outcome. Yes…I believe my work can be fun while maintaining acute awareness around any financial boundaries or goals. This is where I learned that Santa Cruz bubbles with a European-like passion for the arts, a Silicon Valley-like enthusiasm for technology, and an Eastern-like fondness of nature and healing. After graduating with a degree in East Asian Studies I never lost the liking for redwood trees, banana slugs, rip curls, and sweeping Monterey Bay Views. That is when I decided to stay in Sana Cruz and pursue a career in real estate. I soon discovered why the Santa Cruz Real Estate market was and is still so amazing. It is a market comprised of award winning townships, hi-tech inspirations, nationally acclaimed artists, world renowned surfing, picture perfect nature scenes, nationally recognized agricultural lands, and world renowned parks. I have kept my hands involved in this amazing community. I was a board of directors for the Capitola- Soquel Chamber of Commerce for 3 years. I participate in the Art and Wine festival each year in Capitola. I have worked for local fundraisers such as the Taste of Santa Cruz and Non-Profit night at the Shadowbrook. I was one of the board of directors for Main Beach Volleyball. I also support the United Way in Santa Cruz County. 2016 I am the incoming president for Women's Council of Realtors where I help empower individuals to have fulfilling careers and lives! I enjoy hiking and running on the local beaches and parks. I am a competitive of beach volleyball player down by the historic Beach Boardwalk . I have been involved in the healing arts by participating in acupuncture as well Pilates. I have been a Pilates instructor at Joy of Movement in Aptos and a volleyball coach for high school girls in Santa Cruz. I am a CrossFit athlete and still play competitive beach volleyball. Finally, I have combined all of this to have a wonderful "Santa Cruz" way of life that I can share with others. My real estate roots started in Visalia, California. My father was a successful real estate agent. I would beg him to drive me around all of the neighborhoods in town over and over again so that I could look at the "pretty" houses. All through high school and college I would drive through great neighborhoods just to look at the houses. I still carry the fondness for homes from my childhood and with that I have developed a satisfying career in real estate. With the driving force of passion and my innovation, along with the experience and education from David Lyng Real Estate I feel I am a part of a next generation of REALTORs that are technologically prepared, contract savvy, legally educated, and lay the on cutting edge social media to bring the best for my clients and my career! Thank you! (2014 and 2015 President's Club Elite)
